Walking for Dad, Grandpa and Hero ... Our Monty!
On May 24th, our sweet Monty lost his battle with ALS. He was such a fighter and fought for almost 10 years, but peacefully that Friday morning at 11:11am, he quietly slipped away surrounded by his family.
Dad was diagnosed with ALS almost 10 years ago and we were very fortunate that he was one of the lucky ones to have the slow progression diagnosis. Mom and Dad have always shown such strength and we admire the love they shared and the courage they demonstrated to our family and to the community.
The ALS Society of BC has been such an amazing 'partner' through all this. They have provided incredible resources, equipment and support along the way. We are forever grateful for this.
To show our support and help raise much needed funds for the Society, we will be participating in the upcoming WALK for ALS in Williams Lake on Saturday, June 22, 2019.

The ALS WALK is the largest volunteer led fundraiser for ALS across the country and is all about local communities coming together to raise funds and celebrate hope for a future without ALS. Funds received support the Society's vision of supporting Canadians living with ALS and investing in research to make ALS a treatable, not terminal disease.
Please join us in our goal to end ALS by making a donation. We would LOVE for you to join us in person if you are able, but understand of course if you can't. We appreciate your support either way. :)
On behalf of our family and all the other families living with ALS, we THANK YOU for your continued support and generosity and send you Huge virtual "Bear Hugs"!!
